MPA Mission

The MPA program of Hubei University aims to cultivate students from the government and other departments to become leaders with global vision and good governance thinking. The project educates and inspires students to pursue the quality of public services by cultivating their leadership and policy formulation, analysis, implementation and evaluation abilities, so as to promote social welfare in a rapidly changing and volatile governance environment, while adhering to the value of efficiency, fairness and accountability.

To accomplish this mission, our plan is to:

(1) Formulate courses that emphasize the theoretical basis and case studies of public services, with special emphasis on policy analysis, policy advocacy and leadership;

(2) Establish a teaching team composed of excellent scholars and experienced practitioners, fully welcome the views and participation of students, employers and alumni, so as to improve the quality of MPA courses;

(3) Improve students' understanding of public management practice through on-site teaching;

(4) Establish overseas cooperation to expand students' access to public management under different backgrounds
