The School of Public Administration of Hubei University has 48 staff members, 40 full-time teachers, including 6 doctoral supervisors, 24 master supervisors, 10 professors, 16 associate professors and 14 lecturers. The college has a master's degree in public administration and a master's degree in Public Administration (MPA), and four undergraduate majors, including Administration, Public Service Management, International Affairs and International Relations, International Affairs and International Relations (Sino-foreign Cooperation). Among them, the major of administration is a national first-class undergraduate major, and the major of International Affairs and International Relations (Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools) is jointly established by Hubei University and the University of Canberra, Australia.

In 2005, Hubei University was approved as the third batch of public Administration degree graduate students (MPA) training units in China. In the same year, the MPA Education Center of Hubei University was established, which is affiliated to the School of Public Administration for enrollment training and daily management.

Since its establishment, the MPA Education Center of Hubei University has continuously strengthened the construction of teaching facilities, teachers, management institutions and the management of the training process. Existing teaching facilities are complete, case and multimedia teaching conditions are superior, rich books and materials, complete network and computer equipped, has built a modern office technology laboratory 1, the construction of MPA dedicated multimedia classroom 2, MPA students learning activity room 1, MPA case classroom 3, MPA office 3, achieve full coverage of the network and office modernization. The MPA Education Center of Hubei University has a strong faculty force and rich experience in teaching and social practice. There are 37 full-time teachers engaged in MPA teaching, including 15 professors, 15 associate professors and 34 students with doctoral degrees, accounting for 91.89% of the full-time MPA teachers. At the same time, 33 social practice tutors from the government administrative departments were also hired to engage in the course teaching, special reports, papers and social practice guidance work, and the teaching effect was obvious. Hubei University MPA teaching institutions and personnel are complete, teaching services and rules and regulations are sound, daily teaching management procedures are standardized, and teaching is implemented well. In the past three years, more than 20 kinds of textbooks have been used, and the Hubei University MPA core curriculum case library has been prepared, with the case teaching coverage rate reaching 80%. Curriculum syllabus, courseware, examination papers, papers and other teaching archives materials are complete, graduation thesis process management specification, and combined with the MPA students region and work, take the department learning and base practice, course (classroom) learning and network teaching, concentrated learning (teaching) and daily (individual) guidance combined with teaching method, teaching effect is good.

By 2021, our school has enrolled 16 MPA students, with a total of 1275 students, 1003 graduates and 272 students. Through the study, the graduates have developed in their respective work positions, some students have embarked on the leadership positions, or even the important leadership positions, the teaching effect has been generally praised by the employers.
